When will buildings speak is conceived differently from those of ordinary walls. The walls enclosing a building have usually been conceived as a “closure” of space. The concept of the piece as it appears there, is not intended to close the space but to open it to the universe or macrocosm. Everything should represent relations with the universe. Colour and the importance of its spectrum serve as a medium of feelings, they relate to an understanding of history. Colours are vehicles by which we can cultivate a direct relationship of correlations. Sentient and emotional co-relations between realities.
I was mostly moved by the idea that history is not unidirectional or linear but more like a circle or a loom. I started working with repetition as a way to capture the rhythms of ritual or cyclical acts. The installation "When will buildings speak" is conceived between opposites as a vice of gradual transformation. Speaks to us in a secretive and ritual manner about a fractured world or even a
human condition which moves between these qualities.
